"Miroku-sama, what do you think of the moon?"

"The moon?"

"Hai."

"Breath-taking beauty, Kagome-sama. Just like you."

A heavy blush surrounded the miko's usually pale cheeks, as the direct monk uttered the last three words. This was taken in the monk's stride, so he raised himself up slightly, and continued flawlessly and smoothly.

"Oh yes, the moon is considered the goddess of night, in some places, as the sun the god of day. Can you see the formality?"

"Of course I can Miroku."

"Then you can also see how it reffers to you and I."

Kagome blushed again, and her hands crept along the grass, her pale fingers like worms, weaving through the grass. It was a few minutes of awkward silence, before it was shattered by the miko.

"That is incorrect."

"I'm offended, Kagome-sama, do you not find me godly?"

"Hardly."

"Kagome-sama, do you know the price to pay when a monk is upset?"

"Sleeping with you?" The miko suggested wearily, but to her suprise, he shook his head.

"Bear your children?"

He shook his head again.

"What then?"

"My price is subtle, simple and has a sweet tang."

"Hmph. Whatever your planning, lech, count me out."

"Oh no no, Kagome-sama, my payment will be a simple kiss."

The miko blinked, as the monk stared at her, seemingly un-ashamed of his statement, and was rather pleased when the miko began to bluster. His sly smile was proof enough.

"You?- Me?- ... WHAT?"

"No need to use raised tones, Kagome, it is merely a small payment."

And with that, he leaned forward, took his payment, drew back and smiled. The miko was blushing heavier now, and looked like she was about to slap him. Her re-action was different. It was a girl-ish giggle, quite unlike her.

"There is your payment, now, forget it ever happened, Miroku."

The miko stood up, brushed non-existant dirt off her green sailor school skirt, and proffered a hand to the pleased monk, which he graciously took, and tilted his head to the side, in acknowledgement.

"Naturally, Kagome." He smiled at the simple bounce in her step, as she flounced away. "Never. I shall never forget."

End.
