Kirby Sonnet

A pink puffball like cotton candy

flutters through a town

stopping at a street that's more sandy than a beach

it jumps joyfully up and down

and spots something, a creepy creature

and a pot of red hot flaming curry

inhaling the food like a vacuum, he changes feature

fear like a shadow cast across the land, people scatter in worry

the puffball emerges like a cub from its waking family

on the puff's head, a flame more intense than the sun

the townspeople see this as doomsday, this ability

you are what you eat, he spews hot fire reducing everything to none

he disappears without hearing his acclaim

everyone knows him, Kirby is his name.
