Cold air filled the forest air as Luigi made his way though, he adjusted his yellow scarf around his neck and the backpack he wore as he walked along the barley noticeable path forward with the only sound coming from his feet stepping on fallen leafs. Taking a moment to look at the bare trees that surround him he thought about how this place was described in his books as a field of lavish green trees as far as the eye can see, must be the wrong season to visit the old woodlands he thought as he walked along until he stop in his tracks at a sudden noise.
Something was moving in the trees he assume as he tense up looking above at branches moving rapidly until he felt something jab his back along with a snare coming from behind him as his back shoot up in pain. Falling at his feet from the pain he saw a figure approach him from the side as a long leg push in fully onto the ground as his face meet the dirt road.
"Hmph this was way easier then the last one we found" a deep voice said as another voice spoke, "Yeah these taser darts are awesome"
Luigi finally able to open his mouth said, "Why are you doing this?" as his hands gripped the dirt under them.
"So he speaks, the dart wasn't charged all the way I guess" he said as he knelt down next to Luigi he began digging through his pockets. Luigi turning his head saw the figure as he noticed it was an older toad with distinctive purple pattern on his top along with purple eyes that had a scar on the edge of the left side, wearing a dark brown leather outfit he assumed he must not be apart of the Mushroom Kingdom as the strange toad continued to dig through his pockets until he turned his attention towards his bag that was laying beside him.
"What do we got here?" The toad said as he threw the bag towards the other figure with him that Luigi couldn't see as he emptied the bags contents onto the ground.
"Hey that's my belongings!" Luigi said as he struggled to just wiggle around to face the other person eventually seeing another toad dressed in a similar outfit to the other one except this one seemed younger as he top pattern was more brighter with yellow spots.
"Now now it's in your best interest to stay quiet" the purple toad said as he pushed Luigi's face back into the ground causing his scarf to fall off.
"Hey boss this seems to be the only thing worth something here" the yellow toad said as he held up a neatly wrapped object to the other as he took it tearing off the yellow ribbon exposing a small box. Opening it the purple toad held up a beautiful necklace that had a unique flower like pattern on the center causing a wicked smile to form on his face as Luigi began to move again.
"That's a gift for someone else please don't take it!" Luigi said as his eyes grew wide causing the two toads to laugh aloud. Standing up the purple toad looked down on Luigi, "Pathetic, you can't even defend yourself yet you squirm like a worm" he said as he saw the scarf laying next to him he smirk once more as knelt down once more taking it.
"I think I will take this as well since it's cold out" he said as he turned around walking off with the other as they laughed causing Luigi to tear up slightly as his hands clenched more dirt.
Unable to contain his emotions tears began to fall landing on the ground as he slowly started to lift himself off the dirt as he turned his head towards the two toads who were far along the path, fully standing up Luigi yelled, "Stop!" causing the pair to halt as the purple one turned around staring straight into Luigi's watery eyes.
"Looks like he's a fighter after all" he said as he walked towards Luigi with a smirk still showing causing Luigi to clench his dirt covered fists. Rushing forward Luigi closed the gap as his right fist flew at the Toad until the toad moved almost supernaturally behind him in a instant.
"Too slow now" he said as he jab his fist into Luigi's back causing him to limp forward turning around to face him once more he swings again, making contact this time he saw the toad flinch only for a small moment as his smile grew immensely wide.
"What the?" Luigi said as he stepped backward as a purple aura began to engulf the toad causing him to grow unnaturally taller then Luigi as he laughed. Walking towards Luigi his outstretched arms lunged towards lifting Luigi into the air.
"It's been awhile since I done this, I been waiting for a chance to use it" he said as his voice cracked slightly as he hurled Luigi into a nearby tree almost hitting the yellow toad causing him to jump to the side in fear.
Feeling pain shot through his body Luigi struggle to get back up as he watch this monstrosity walk closer and closer until he stopped. "Hmmm this is to easy, and I have a idea for you worm" he said as put his left arm forward in Luigi's direction, "What do you most fear and despise?" he said as smoke came forth from his arm inching towards Luigi who could barely keep his eyes open as the smoke reached his nose as everything went black.
