At first look, Edward hated the girl
Whose innocent scent could drive him so mad.
Alice told him one day they'd fall in love
But at first he thought her "vision" had gone bad.
He fought with Rosalie, Jasper, and Emmett
Over the girl he had hated at first sight.
Then one night, as he watched her sleep
He realized Alice had always been right.
He believed he could be strong,
And leave Bella before she fell for him as well,
But he found reasons to stay in Forks
For the girl with the delicious smell.
Bella soon became suspicious,
Then his most private secret was out.
She knew exactly what he was,
And she gave him the benefit of the doubt.
They soon fell in love,
Though that could've all been destroyed,
By the coven of nomadic vampires
They knew was impossible to avoid.
Bella followed James to a ballet theater,
Where she nearly got herself killed.
Edward was there to save her,
Though a lot of blood was spilled.
In the hospital, Bella pleaded
For Edward never to go away.
He said as long as it was best for her,
He would not wander astray.
