Morning After Cuddles
The kisses were feathery light and Nick couldn't help but smile in his sleep. The kisses continued as they made their way up his chest, up the side of his neck and traced his jawline. It felt good and arousing and he resisted as best as he could. It was hard since those kisses were light and seductive and… He shifted slightly but kept his eyes closed.
The kisses intensified and Nick knew he couldn't hold out. He gave up when he felt her fingers brush his cheek and dug into his hair and started massaging his scalp. He opened his eyes to see the most beautiful face in the world and smiled bigger and stretched slightly.
"Morning, Sunshine," Sage Parker said as she looked down at Nick. Her fingers gently raked through his hair. "Sleep well?"
Nick looked up at her. Her eyes were lidded with satisfied tiredness as she smiled at him. It was almost lazy but he could tell that she was happy and satisfied and it boosted his ego. He moved his arm to wrap around her waist and let his fingers start tracing her bared back. "Yeah," he admitted as he put the other arm behind his head to pillow it. "Best I've had."
Sage smiled, "Good." She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his in a sweet kiss.
Nick accepted the kiss and deepened it. His hand pressed gently into her back, fingering her skin. He grinned when he heard her moan in response. He was getting payback for her kisses but in the same vein. He felt her fingers curl in his hair as her other hand slid up his chest to caress his cheek. He responded by moving his hand up her back and gently kneaded her skin as her hips pressed against his, reminding him exactly how they got there.
They had been dating for some time. It was always the same. He would take her home and politely refuse to come in, giving her a kiss good night. It was part of his policy to treat Sage like a lady since he asked her out. It was all about treating her right especially after all that had happened recently in their lives. He didn't want misunderstandings between them and she was agreeable to it. Last night changed it.
He brought her home after their date as usual. She asked him to come in for coffee. He was about to refuse but something in her expression changed his mind. It wasn't the first time he had been in her place but it was the first time he had been in there in a more personal capacity. It actually had him nervous and he was the one that was considered the ladies' man.
Instead of coffee, Sage poured them each a glass of wine. It was really good stuff and he pointed it out. It was then she revealed that she usually kept a couple of well-known wine labels in her cabinet. It led to him teasing her about using her royalties to live the sweet life. She accepted it in good humor as she sipped her sweet red and it was watching her that had him start thinking she was so sexy.
A few glasses and inhibitions were down allowing them both to talk freely about their feelings. He tried not to get so inebriated ever since he showed up at her place drunk as a skunk and ranted about her leaving him, like they were a couple. He gave in and he revealed that he really was attracted to her and cared about her a lot. He wasn't sure about another word yet but it seemed she was pleased by what he said.
One thing led to another and he was kissing her while removing her clothes. She was doing the same to his as they made their way to her room. The next thing, he was taking the lead, guiding her down. She fought to take the lead along the way but let him stay in the driver's seat. He explored her peaks and valleys as she guided him. It ended up being a night memorable to both.
Looking up at Sage as she broke the kiss, Nick took in her beautiful face. The hand that had been caressing her back, getting her to press her hips into his, moved to stroke her cheek with the back of his fingers. Her hands were caressing his head, one hand in his hair and fingering it. The other was wrapped around his neck, her thumb running along the side, fingering the veins, sending a tingly feeling that felt good down his spine. He couldn't help but voice it, "And that feels good, Sass."
Sage hummed as she smiled, "I knew those pressure massage techniques would come in handy."
"Let me guess," Nick countered, realizing that she was partially teasing and partially telling the truth. He used his free hand to stroke her cheek and then move them through the short tresses of her hair. "You learned them from a friend that you know from one of your past jobs."
"Nice guy from Bali," Sage replied with a teasing grin.
Nick narrowed his eyes playfully at her. She would occasionally tease him about the guys she had met. He knew they hadn't been serious. Hell, her friend, Gari, was bisexual and they were best friends. "You are cruel, Sass. Especially after last night," he groused with a slight moan.
"Aww, it's only to keep you interested, Ness," she teased. Her eyes took on a playful smirk that were almost laughing at him.
Nick groaned and looked upwards, "I shouldn't have told you my middle name."
"Thought you liked being an Untouchable," Sage pouted. She pulled back, letting her fingers rake his body gently. She sat up, straddling his waist. The pout turned into a smile as she added, "But I guess I was wrong."
Nick blinked when she swung her legs and got off him and the bed. He frowned as she sauntered towards the bathroom, giving him a nice view of her behind. He got up and followed her and grabbed her from behind, pulling her back so her back was flush against his chest. His hands slide forward to caress her abdomen and he lowered his head so he could croon in her ear, "You're not wrong, Sass. I kind of like being your hero."
"You're always my hero," she replied as she turned to look at him. "And it helps that you're good looking too."
Nick kissed her shoulder and wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her. "Mmm you have good taste," he murmured. He continued to kiss her shoulder before making his way to the nape of her neck and started suckling the skin.
Sage smiled and leaned to expose her neck more. "I don't know. I thought you were a jerk when we first met."
"And you a mouthy college student."
They looked at each other and smiled before Nick leaned forward, kissing her again. "But all you Sass," he said as he held her close. His nose brushed the nape of her neck, taking in her scent and he murmured, "Forgive me?"
"Mmm maybe a little."
"Enough to go back to bed?"
Sage chuckled in her throat before pulling away and heading into the bathroom, letting Nick get a good look. Her brow was raised suggestively as she teased, "There might be breakfast in it for you."
Nick stood there as he watched her go in with a grin before following her in. It later found him enjoying breakfast with Sage on her backyard patio porch. He had to admit that she knew how to cook as he enjoyed the eggs and peppers with bacon she served with the fresh orange juice she squeezed. He looked at her as she offered more bacon and said, "You're spoiling me."
"I know your Texan appetite," Sage teased as she put a couple more slices of bacon on his plate. She sat back in her seat and smiled, looking relaxed in the kimono styled top she was wearing. She folded her hands in her lap and added, "In all things."
Nick wanted to laugh. It was one of those rare times Sage would play with innuendo. It actually impressed him a bit and he liked the bold side of her. "Little bold there. I like it."
"Maybe we should do it more often."
Nick looked at her as she stared at him with a look that was suggestive, but also tinged with a bit of shyness. He realized she was being serious with her suggestion and it wasn't just for kicks. Not that he had that in mind anyway. Looking at her with sincerity in his eyes he replied, "I'd like that."
When Sage smiled, Nick couldn't help but smile in return. He reached across for her hand and gave it a squeeze before pulling her forward and giving her a kiss. The rest of the morning was spent finishing breakfast and enjoying each other's company. It would be the first of many mornings together.
