A flaming orange cat raced through the trees of a forest. He could not slow down, or all hope for the ones he loved would be doomed. As he reached a clearing, Firestar skidded to a sudden halt. Each breath he took to recover his voice would endanger the clans down below, who were now sharing tongues and hunting the plentiful prey. They were completely unaware of the events soon to come. Bluestar looked up from her discussion with Yellowfang and Jayfeather, to see a terrified cat with messy fur, taking gasps for air.

"The clans are in danger! There is going to be a fire that will burn down their world! What do we do!" FIrestar's wild eyes locked on Bluestar's fearful ones. "I don't know." She whispered. "We have to alert them!" Jayfeather demanded. Yellowfang shook her head "It will take to long, we must send an omen now." And with that she pushed past the stunned and shaken cats, and picked up her pace. The clans were in life threatening danger.

Yellowfang sent out a fluffy soft cloud, but buried beneath the fluffy and pretty orange colour, was a death sentence. She dearly hoped that the Medicine cats were outside, sharing tongues, or checking the weather. She knew not all of them would be. Maybe a warrior would point it out as being a bit strange, or even a kit. But even Yellowfang couldn't fool herself. Cats would die tonight.

"What omen have you sent out?" Firestar demanded. "A cloud, but I fear that not all of the clans will realise what it is." Yellowfang replied grimly. She looked down at the pool she sat next to, it revealed the cats below. Other cats were also gathered around the pool, from Shadowclan, Windclan and Riverclan. They were all looking in the crystal clear water anxiously. The cats were currently looking at Shadowclan's camp, who didn't seem to notice the omen above them. The medicine cat, Shadepool was inside the den looking after a small cat that was having a coughing fit.

A Shadowclan tom gave an impatient mew, urging his clan to look up, but none did. "It's time to see Thunderclan." Bluestar ordered. Soon they were looking at Thunderclan, who seemed to be as equally aware of the omen as ShadowClan. Yellowfang looked at her paws. There was no other way to contact the clans unless they were asleep.

"A flame will drive the clans out of the forest. This will be the beginning of the Falling of the Clans."
