A\ n This is my first west wring story. This is set at the start of season 1 and changes things for Josh.
Josh arrived back to his office after doing the TV debate with Mary Marsh.
"Lady the god your praying to. Is to busy being indited for Tax fraud"
Josh walked to his office ignoring everyone and he shut the door then going to his desk to the one draw he kept under lock and key all the time.
Josh open it and took out a picture. That picture was of him and the love of his life stood in front of the Coptic alter in Egypt
Josh looked at the picture and cried today five years ago his love Sarah had died. Josh hugged the picture and herd is answering machine go off
"JOSH YOU DUMASS HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT TOO MARY MARSH DIDNT I TELL YOU DONT GET CUTE WITH HER DONT SAY ANYTHING THAT WILL PISS HER OFF. AND LOOK WHAT YOU DID. WHEN I SEE YOU TOMORROW WE ARE GOING TO DEAL WITH IT" Toby yelled.
Josh just looked at the machine and said nothing.
Josh looked around his white house off an office in the west wing something that people dream off.
This had turned into Josh's nightmare two years in and he hated this place.
Josh then picked up a letter by His Grace Bishop David of New York and New England.
Josh new the word back to front.
"To my son Josh you have now got a job at a place that everyone dreams remember to do good work for the good of the people. But never forget your spiritual life and that God got you this job and when he calls you you must not delay for him."
What many people didn't know was that as well as a Masters in Political science Josh had had a diploma in theology.
Josh new turned back to the pic of his beloved Sarah.
"what do i do love you always had good advice for me" Josh asked out loud.
No one responded
Josh then looked at another pic in his draw it was a pic of his best friend and Sarah brother James.
Josh James and Sarah the 3 Arab musketeers they were called when they were kids causing trouble at church or school and loving it.
James like Josh and studied theology but James theology was the only thing he studied and had got his PhD in it. Both James and Sarah had died.
Looking at the picture of the 3 of them Josh knew what he had to do and getting out a hand cross Josh signed himself with it and gave thanks to God
The next day as Leo came in and talk to him Josh went threw the motions but the truth was Josh had his own plan ready for this day.
When Tobey told him about the meeting with Mary Marsh Dick Van-dike and Rev Al Cadwell Josh nodded but inside he got more set ready for what he was going to do.
After the start and the apiology that Josh gave Mary mash turned to Tobey
"Ok lets deal" She said to Tobey.
"NO WE WILL NOT DEAL I CANT TAKE IT ANY MORE. ALL THREE OF YOU SIT THERE LIKE YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO PUSH YOUR RELIGION ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE LIKE IT SOME SORT OF LIFE RAFT THEY NEED." Josh yelled
Everyone in the room looked shocked "Josh are you ok?" C.J the white house press sectary asked.
Toby looked ready to kill Josh.
"THATS IT I AM DONE I JOINED THE DEMOCRATS THINKING WE ARE BETTER BECUASE WE DONT SHOVE RELIGON DOWN PEOPLES THROATS THAT WE WERE BETTER BUT INSTEAD WE ARE JUST AS BAD AS THEM"
Josh yelled as the President and Leo McGrary the cheif of staff walked in.
Josh turned to Mary Dick and Al
"YOU THREE ARE THE MOST EVIL PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET YOUR WOVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN TO THE FUNERALS OF YOUR BEST FRIENDS AND THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE AND SAW THEIR SHORT LIVES TAKEN BUT TERIOTS YYOU DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING."
"EVERYONE THINKS I AM JEWISH I AM NOT I AM A COPTIC CHRISTIN WHO HAS SUFFERED MORE THEN YOU THREE COULD UNDER STAND"
Josh said before throwing pictures at them the pictures was of Josh and Sarah the same one Josh had cried on last night.
"THE LOVE OF MY LIFE WAS KILLED BY A BOMB BLOWEN UP AN EXTREAMST HER ONLY CIRME WAS GOING TO CHURCH TO PRAY TWO WEEKS BEFORE OUR WEDDING DAY. HER BROTHER AND MY BEST FRIEND WAS KILLED WITH HER. SO DONT TALK TO ME ABOUT INSLUTING CHRISTENS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN IN MY SHOES"
Everyone looked at Josh who was still fuming with Companion.
Josh tuned to Toby "Here is my letter of resignation you can take it. It also including my resgantion from the democratic party for the last 10 years i have worked for them but had i know this was the way i was going to be treated i wouldn't have." Josh shoved the letter into Toby's hand.
Turning back to Mary dick and Al "Just to let you know you three are the only ones who have complained about this my own bishops who have a bigger right to complain have not called me."
Josh looked at Rev Al "Until today i had the up most respect for you i always saw you as the leader of the Pentecostal movement and thought you were as close to the Coptic clergy but I was wrong." Josh said
Josh walked out of the room and then before anyone could say anything he left the white house
