He cursed silently in his head. True, when he had looked out through the window in Gryffindor tower all he had noticed was a light breeze, but a light breeze in the grass didn't necessarily represent a light breeze at the top of the astronomy tower. The wind was practically howling as it ripped at the fabric of his pyjamas.
It was but a few nights until full moon Harry noted absently as his gaze travelled across the sky, his head dropped back down then and he watched the forbidden forest in its nocturnal colours. He thought he saw an owl fly over the trees in the darkness.
He brought up his wand and silently cast a tempus charm, it was just after one o'clock.
One hour outside and he didn't feel even the slightest bit more tired than before. He sighted; it would have worked wonders to walk around in the dungeons, that always got him drowsy, but… Shaking his head to get rid of the strange memories that surfaced he started up his singing again. It might have been a little strange for his friends if they had walked 'in' on him right now, a sixth year student dressed in his night clothes, alone in the astronomy tower at midnight, mutilating some poor muggle cartoon song that had stuck in his head the previous summer. Not to mention his special title; the-boy-who-lived… they would laugh so loud.
"I see it wasn't enough to disturb the dungeons at night, Potter."
Harry turned around at the sudden sound.
"Malfoy."
"Here I come, trying to get some fresh air before I go to sleep, and what do I find?"
"I don't know, why don't you tell me Maloy?..." Harry answered in a flat tone.
"…Then again, wasn't it you who 'banned' me from the dungeons in the first place? What did you expect?"
"Poor little Gryffindork, don't your friend enjoy your… music, you call it?"
"Ha ha, I'll just be leaving then."
"Night Potter."
"Good night Malfoy."
As Harry turned to leave he heard Draco give the poor mutilated lyrics a chance. He turned around and raised an eyebrow. Draco gave him an annoyed look in return.
"So it was catchy. Now leave."
