"Is this on?... Please tell me this is on."

"Ok..ok..ok, it's mostly on."

"Umm..where to start?"

"My name is billy, I mean I'm William by birth. Mom wants...wanted me to use my full name. She said it sounded more like an adult."

"I thought it would be good for me to record what happened...for those who come after."

"It started with us, my friends...family. We all came into contact with each other and became the power rangers, also we got some pretty kick butt superpowers."

"At first it was fun, we got powers, I got strong, we had a campfire, and I died. That was...a little weird, but it turned out ok. We all came together, got suits, saved the day. We were heroes!"

"After the fight with Rita, things settled down and the city began to rebuild. Besides the rare eyeball, or some other weird alien things were pretty easy. We even fought an alien whose name translates to Pudgy Pig! Jason did not let up on the jokes on that one"

"Things were simple, my mom would even invite everyone over for dinner...she made meatloaf."

"Everything was easy until it wasn't."

"I think...maybe.. we got too comfortable. The battles were easy, the hardest part was juggling school and ranger life. Rita had a husband, Lord Zedd."

"The battle was hard. Even more destruction than the fight with Rita. Not all of us came back from this one… Zack he… held the line. He fought against Zedd long enough for us to stop his plan and save the world."

"It all went down from there. We lost a member of the family."

"Because we were down a ranger we could no longer use Megazord. Zordon, Alpha and I worked for days trying to find a way to use the grid to bring him back...like I did. We couldn't"

"The monsters became more dangerous, the losses greater. Families left town. A mass evacuation since it seemed like the monsters were attracted to this area. Trini's family left, said it was too dangerous. They begged her to leave with them. Trini lived at the base from then on."

"The monsters were too hard, attacks too often. Every battle was barely won and it almost always came at a cost. Jason was returning home from a battle one day when she found that she no longer had a home to return to. We began searching to see if we could find his family. Jason began living at the base."

"Without our fifth member, we could completely access the grid. The Zords were damaged from constant battle and they just couldn't be repaired as fast as the monsters were coming."

"On quiet nights we'd make a fire again, except this time there was no laughing. Maybe it was in respect for Zack, maybe it was because none of us had anything to say. Those nights we would just be content with existing next to each other and watching the stars."

"Kimberly's Zord was damaged. It wasn't good.I told her it wasn't good!...but... she didn't listen. When the next monster came... we lost another friend."

"Kimberly's family was one of the last to leave"

"And Momma… I don't want to talk about that…

"I think we really started to accept the idea that we might lose when Zordon left. Well, he didn't really leave he just sort of..stopped. Alpha said that Zordon lived off the grid and with the constant battles, destruction of two coins, and the damage sustained to the base, he wasn't able to hold on anymore."

"The base was really quiet after that."

"Alpha changed. At first, he was full of energy and when things started to get worse, he tried to keep our spirits up. He even tried to make us dinner once, he burned the food but we still ate it."

"The difference was slight at first just a little less...him. Alpha was damaged during one of the fights, I tried to fix him. He started being a little irritated but when Zordon left he would get angry. After Trini was gone he just left and never came back."

"Jason and I were the last ones left."

"Jason smiled very rarely and I think he only pretended to..for me"

"We'd talk a lot at night, I'd talk about how momma used to make the best dinner when she was home. He'd talk about his father, the things he never got to say. I said it'd be ok, momma always said that if you love someone, no matter what, you'd always see them again. Jason was quiet for a bit but he agreed"

"When the next battle came I was still injured from the last fight. Jason left on his own, he said he'd be back safe and sound and that we would have burgers and pie for dinner. Jason won the battle...but he didn't come back. I really hope he was able to talk to his dad again"

"I'm alone now. It gets dark at night, and quiet too quiet."

"I'm afraid, and the monsters keep coming."

(THUD THUD)

"They're coming now...I think we lost. I just wanted to make sure that someone knew what happened. Maybe there will even be more rangers. I hope they do better."

(Sounds become closer)

(Fighting noises can be heard)

(Silence)
