Love Bird
To Hedwig, Love Harry
Composed by: iKoffeeholic
Harry had always loved his snowy white angel of a pet. He even felt as if he was in love with her. And this day, he bought a transfiguration potion that was labelled 'owl'.
"When I drink this, Hedwig, we'll finally be able to talk with each other," said Harry. Hedwig flapped her wings in delight.
Off with the cork and down the hatch the potion went. Harry felt the rush of a thousand winds in his ears, then felt his arms bend into what he assumed were wings.
In instants, he found himself brown, feathered, and relatively small compared to his room. From the floor, he gazed at Hedwig's cage. "Hi," he tried to say, but it came out as more of a screech.
"Oh, hello, Harry! It's so nice to understand you these days," she responded.
Harry blushed under his beak. "Same to you. But Hedwig, I'm not sure if you knew, but…"
"Yes, Harry?"
"I love you. As my pet, messenger, and friend. I always will."
Hedwig squawked and cheered, and that was the last Harry heard. The tiny potion began to wear off, and he grew larger—back to his true size.
'No…'
"SQUAAAAWK!"
