Chapter One: I'm sorry I broke your heart daddy.
Kayla Rain Mustang was broken… She was torn to shreds… All because of Wrath. He said he wanted to see what would happen, if he sent her to the gate to see Truth.
He she was, blind and helpless.
Her father knelt in front of her, crying. "Promise me you'll never do human transmutation again…" He begged her.
She dropped to the ground in front of him blinking blankly. "I promise…" She didn't know what to do anymore.
Roy looked at her, concern clear in his dark eyes. "Baby are you okay?"
She barely choked out, broken and pathetic; "Daddy… I lost my sight…"
Her father, Roy, looked at her and cried desperately; "How how?"
She looked back at him, her eyes cold and dead. "I was forced into a Human transmutation…"
"By who!" He demanded.
She blinked once. "Wrath…" Roy showed major rage and Kayla reached her shaking arms out for him, wanting him to hold her, protect her from the impending darkness.
He lifted her up and held her in his arms. "Don't worry baby, I'm here." He cooed to his shaking daughter.
"Daddy… Don't leave…" She cried to him.
"Shh, baby I'll stay right here, by your side."
