Ode To Mary Sue
Lately I have been feeling the blues
From all this talk of Mary Sue's
Always perfect
Never plain
Different for every fandom but they are all the same
Mary tends to be a bit vain
She are so great that it drives us insane
And she turns her pretty eyes to our favourite characters too
She latches on tight and sticks to them like glue
Oh where have the original girls gone?
We need them before our fandoms go wrong
Please give us a girl who is not high end and classy
Give us a girl who is brave and bold and just a little sassy
Grab the spray can if you will
And for now take a chill pill
With help Mary Sue may soon be gone
She has to go because she did us wrong
But if we won't win we might have to make amends
Will we compromise?
Well that depends
Maybe there is something we can do
To save poor old Mary Sue
Just grab some freckles and some mousy hair
She might lose some Barbie beauty but we don't care
And when your done fixing Miss Former Lady Fair
You can sit and relax in your favourite armchair
Because it's over, finished and done
Boy, changing Mary to an original female sure was fun!

We will have some fun today!
Because when it comes to creating female characters you see
I have a great recipe
