I based this on the book A Cool Moonlight by Angela Johnson. I don't own anything, exept the poem itself. It's about a little girl who is allergic to sunlight.

The Moonlight Dance

The moonlight glows

Where moonflowers bloom

Where nightinggale's sing

And moonflowers bloom

And in the moonlight

The little girl danced

Under stars that twinkled

On the dew-slicked grass

The spell of the moonlight

Has her incased

She'll never know the feeling

Of the sun on her face

Fresh as a raindrop

Was her face in the moonlight

She drank in it's gaze

As she danced through the night

She danced in the moonlight

And the daylight she shunned

Yet she wondered what it was like

To dance in the sun
