Who I Really Am

Even though, I'm joyful, happy, perky, just filled with glee,

people, My friends, comment on me looking depressed,

as if something bad has occurred, as if I'm just bottled up inside with all this different emotions,

and as I start to wonder why, why my friends would think of such things,

I come to my own realization,…they're half right

As I stare into her mesmerizing, deep, brown eyes,

I fall in some sort of trance,

her soft silky black fur as dark as the night sky's shadow, shines,

as the full blue moons light bounces of her coat,

giving her that ghost like appearance,

her pointed ears flicker at the chirps of the crickets,

the rush of the stream,

the screeches of the owls,

and the whispers of the wind,

she points her nose up with such grace as if asking to fallow,

I look away from those eyes not wanting to be fooled,

but by some unknown force I unwillingly turn to her direction, only to see her disappear...

I start to run,

don't know why,

it was as if my body had a mind of its own,

I feel no exhaustion, I felt as if I could run the rest of eternity,

where to and what for was unknown to me,

but I didn't care, because the feeling of the soft grass thumping against my feet,

the gentle breeze caressing my hair,

and the sensation of freedom was already too much for me to take in,

and when it was starting to get even better,

I stopped dead in my tracks

She appeared out of nowhere as if by magic,

I ran towards her and embraced her in my arms,

I had finally felt all those bottled up emotions fly away,

I felt a small breeze and when I opened my eyes,

she had vanished,

I got closer to the stream in front of me,

and gasped at what my eyes saw

she was there, in the water,

staring at me with those eyes,

no wait it wasn't her,

it was but my own reflection,

I closed my eyes tight, and when I opened them again,

all I saw was my rooms dull ceiling,

I ran to the bath room mirror my paws, ears, tail, fur, muzzle, where gone,

but in that mirror,

I saw two deep, brown, mesmerizing, eyes placing me in a trance,

and as their fire started to simmer down,

that's when I realized,who I was,

I was her,

she was me,

we where one,

we where the unthinkable,

I was a wolf

!Awhoooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Maria: *dunks behind chair* so what you guys think?... please don't kill me its under wolfs rain category cuz i was inspired by them.

toboe: wow we inspired that!

maria: *nodds* yup *gives toothy wolfish grin* actually won second place at my schools poetry slam competition.

tsume: of course it won second place you fucing howled at the end and scared the heck out of everyone!

maria: *snikers* including you

tsume: ...grrr...

hige: its kool but what i liked best about it *munches on popcorn* is that you used the prize money to take us to the movies thanx again

maria: no probs you guys helped remember?

kiba: *shrugs* its kool i can't believe you didn't know you were a wolf in the first place, but its kool
