Missing
A/N- Just something I thought was missing from the finale 'Bon Voyage'

"Mom you've given me everything I need." Rory said emotionally to her mom.
"Okay." Lorelai replied equally emotional.
"Okay."
"Shall we?" Lorelai asked.
"What's the rush? It's like 5:00 am."
"Got to make a stop."
"Alright but I wanna check my room one last time." Rory smiled at her mom before she turned towards her room.
"Alright hun." Lorelai said as she watched her only daughter walk towards her bedroom, what would probably be the last time in a very long while.
Rory walked into her bedroom and she scanned her room, trying to find anything that she might need she walked over to where Co. Clucker sat; Rory picked him up from his chair. "I'm really gonna miss you." She said hugging him one finally time before she placed him back down.
Rory walked over to her bookcase and lightly touched the spines of all her books remaining on the shelf, she picked up one of her favourite books and with a sad smile she lightly traced over the lettering of the title 'The Subsect' a single tear ran down Rory's face as she moved her hand down to the lettering of the authors name 'Jess Mariano' her fingers pause over his name before she lightly touched the letter J again.
Rory brought the book to her chest and held it close to her heart.
"Sweets are you ready?" She heard her mother ask; Rory wiped the tear from her face and tried to compose herself before leaving her bedroom and making her way through the house, as she closed the front door to her home she smiled.
She doesn't know what the future will bring, but she can't help but hope.
