So, I was thinking about the chapter I wrote for another story of mine that dealt with "Swan Song" and decided I liked it for that particular story, but want to go with a different approach. Besides, I feel like it should have been in the episode.

Agent Barrett turned the corner. McGee and Abby were coming out of the elevator, McGee with his arm around Abby's shoulders, her with her arms around his waist and head on his shoulder. E.J. decided to let them have their moment, after all, she and Tony had had thier share. Once Abby and McGee left, she went to the elevator to go to autopsy. She pressed the button for the door to open. They did. But, to her amazement, she saw Tony, her Tony, standing in the elevator hugging his partner and gently rubbing her back. The worst part was that they had no idea she was there. Before she was noticed, E.J. left the scene and decided to go to the other elevator. She heard the doors close behind her as she walked away. Feeling a sense of safety, she turned around. Now, heart- broken and angry, Agent E.J. Barrett watched as Tony led Ziva to the bullpen, his hand gently resting on her back.
