It's been awhile since I've seen Treasure Planet and last night I was watching it and got to the part where Mr. Arrow's life line got cut. Well I stopped it after that whole part and had a great idea for a fan fiction. I hope you like it.

Mistakes-
This was supposed to be his turning point. After this he wasn't suppose to make any mistakes, then why did he keep making them? Back on his home planet he did make a lot of mistakes, and most of them, okay, all of them was his fault. But didn't that mean that this one was his fault as well? How was he suppose to know that Mr. Arrows life line was cut? He had tried so hard to do something right and he only ended up failing. It was a simple task, how could he possibly have failed? He tried to remember every little detail as if he would find where he failed.
Everyone was rushing around as the Captain and Mr. Arrow shouted out orders. Even he, James Hawkins, was running around. He was helping everyone pull the solar sails in, so they wouldn't be damaged. Mr. Silver slipped and started falling, but Jim somehow managed to pull him up. After he was done he rushed back down to the deck in case the Captain needed him for something. He heard her yell to Mr. Arrow to release the sails. As everyone made it back down to the deck he yelled at them the new order.
"Mr. Hawkins! Secure all life lines!" That was his only order. He rushed over to where the ropes were tied and pulled as hard as he could on each rope. Mr. Silver held him to a pole as they rode out the last wave.
The Captain seemed pleased afterward and asked Mr. Arrow if all hands were accounted for, but he never came. The crew split in half as Sroupe made his way down to the Captain, holing Arrows hat.
"It seems we have lost Mr. Arrow" Sroupe hissed, "His life line was not secure."
The Captain looked over at Jim with the 'How could you?!' look. Jim's breath started to quicken. "No! I checked all of them!" he ran over to the ropes to prove that he really had checked all the ropes, but one was missing, "I did, I checked them all." After a few words to Mr. Arrow from the Captain Jim ran. He just wanted to run from his mistakes. No one could understand, after all this and he was still making mistakes. This time it caused him to take a life. And that would always be with him. Did it make him any better than his dad for running away? Maybe, maybe not. He was just tiered of making mistakes over and over and over again. He wanted to be normal.
