Harry looked up. Ron was shoving a movie into Hermione's face.
"Come on let's watch this one!" He bellowed. "It's a scary movie!"
"If we're going to watch a scary movie we might as well watch this." Hermione tossed a copy of "Wicked Scary" at him. Ron obviously wasn't ready and the movie hit him hard on the side of the head.
"What the…" Ron blinked looking around to see what kind of projectile could have hit him that hard. He looked down and saw the video. "Geez Hermione!" She just shrugged and went to the kitchen to make some popcorn.
Harry and Ron were staying at Hermione's house for a short time in the summer. Hermione had recently found that she indeed like sweets better than health foods so she had bought a bunch for their stay.
"Hermy, what exactly in this… poopcurn…" Ron looked quizzically at her. Harry laughed.
"Poopcurn, Ron?" Harry couldn't control his laughter. " It's called…." Harry practically spit all over the place.
"Harry!" Hermione screeched. "Stop spitting! You'll ruin the leather couches!"
"Sorry Hermy," Harry tried to calm down but the word 'poopcurn' still echoed through his head and he couldn't control himself. By the time he stopped Hermione had finished making the popcorn and was setting it on the coffee table.
"It's called popcorn Ron." She sighed. "It's made from corn kernels and they pop when you put them in the microwave." She then went back in the kitchen to get some ice cream and sodas. " Harry will you help me in here?"
"Sure!" Harry said getting up. When they had finished with the Sodas and Ice cream they walked back into the living room. Hermione went to turn off the lights.
"Hermione what are you doing!?" Ron yelled. "It's 9:00! It's dark enough already!"
"The lights have to be off in order to get the full effect of a scary movie!" She insisted.
"Ron you gotta admit. She's right!" Harry smiled and laughed. Ron settled back in his armchair, obviously scared.
Hermione poped the movie into the VCR and pressed play. The movie started. An hour later, it was at the ending scene. A woman was in a dark room. Freaky music played in the background. A wicked scary monster appeared behind her holding up a knife. The woman turned around and screamed. At the same time Ron screamed. Hermione jumped up as Harry turned the TV off in alarm. Ron was still screaming.
