Dark
Nothing. As Dustfinger tried to see into the dark abyss there was nothing. All he could see was blackness and nothing. He wondered if what was going on in the Inkworld, and how Roxane was.
As these thoughts flooded into his head thoughts of the white women came. Fenoglio's stupid angels of death would not stop pestering him for fire. He had tried, but he couldn't do it, play with fire. The flames would not obey him in this world, and why should they? No one else listened to anyone in the world of the dead why would fire a killer itself listen.
Yes fire. It was a killer, and yet killing wasn't always bad. From all that Dustfinger had been trying to remember he the thought of the Adderhead's book of death had almost slipped his mind. Was this book truly the only thing that could now kill the Adderhead? His name was written in it, so he was immortal, but how could Silvertoungue change that? To many questions were left unanswered.
The only thing that was for sure was the fact that the Adderhead must be stopped or all could be permanently messed up. The others would surly forget their attempts of saving him to fight the Adderhead. These thoughts swelled in Dustfinger's head as he sat alone in the darkeness. If only the darkness wasn't so choking. He could almost suffocate within its grasp.
The white women whispering voices snatched him out of his reverie. They were coming close, they just couldn't understand that the fire wouldn't obey him. They were coming for the fire he couldn't attempt to give and he knew soon they would punish him.
And as he peered around madly trying to see, the darkness would not let go. He could only glimpse tiny whispers of white as the whit women surrounded him. They circled around, whispering in their own strange language. And Dustfinger knew his time had almost come, to be killed in the land of the dead, how had he managed that.
Alright I know that's a bit of a short prologue, but hey it's my second story, anyway please RnR people, I would really appreciate some criticism.
