A/N: I'm really kind of in love with this couple right now, so I couldn't help but write more about them :).

Hazardous Contemplations

It wasn't the fact that they had taken to going to the movies together, or that meeting for coffee and long walks was now a routine, no what really worried Chuck was when Blair and Dan had been caught what he could only call cat fighting at an event.

Gossip girl might be unaware of the budding friendship Blair had going with that Brooklyn mess, but thanks to the P.I. he had checking up on Blair from time to time, Chuck was well informed. It hadn't bothered him as much as confused him. Why Blair would lower herself to not only talking with him but actually spending time on him when she couldn't even stand him a year ago was beyond Chuck's comprehension.

But Blair would do as she wanted as always, and as long as it was someone Chuck was sure could be easily handled if need be, he had nothing to concern him. That was until he saw the paper after the event W threw, seeing Blair lower herself to physically manhandling Dan and on the floor had warning signs flash throughout his mind.

Blair wasn't the kind to physically apprehend someone, she was above that. She was the type to plot and destruct without getting her hands dirty. Only with Serena or him had she ever used physical force to prove her point. As if only they could break down the queen of the UES to such a degree, well it had been only him and Serena apparently now Dan could do it too.

Dan was always a thorn in Blair's side, he was the one who had made her freshman year in college a disaster. By becoming so popular, he had thrown Blair's sense of hierarchy into chaos, she was supposed to hate Brooklyn. Or at least forget about him, now that she was at Columbia and he stayed in NYU, she was back to a social society she could flourish in, and Humphrey had been left to his plastic cups filled with cheap beer. So why were they suddenly so chummy now? Now when they should have been barely a blip on each others radars.

It disturbed him, the Blair he loved wouldn't lower her standards to such a degree. What did she see in that loser? He wished he had more time to contemplate but as his phone rang and Raina's name flashed on the screen, he knew it would have to wait for another day. His company had to be saved at the moment and Blair would come to her senses soon enough, before too much harm was done. He hoped.
