Spoilers from episode 8 (season 5)

I Miss You

He was spending all his energies giving steps, trying his best to not fall right there and just put everything out.

He still could hear the Maggie's screams by far.

His entire body was shaking, remembering the last scenes in your mind.

He kept his eyes in the path in front of him… Because if he looked what was in his arms, he would collapse at that very moment.

It was only when Rick took out Beth's body from his arms (He supposed it was Rick. In the midst of multiple tears in his eyes, it was difficult to know) that Daryl allowed himself to fall on the floor and cry.

He didn't care if they had to hit the road and get out of there. He didn't care anymore about anything.

The only thing that mattered was that Beth was dead. And now that was killing him too.

And then Daryl cried.

He cried a lot. He cried until he didn't have more tears and the cries turned into a hiccup. During this time, he felt some people sitting next to him and trying to transmit comfort. Carol, Noah, Rick.

He ignored them all.

The truth is that Daryl was tired. He was tired of losing important people in his life and that there was nothing he could do about it.

A lot of people said that Beth wasn't able to survive in that world, but he knew that she was trying. He knew that she was doing her best and was holding on so far.

Well… Daryl thought that would be different with Beth.. She was special after all, and everyone knew it.

Beth Greene had purity in her heart. She liked to believe that everyone had a good side, and she did her best to see the beauty in the world, even with it full of zombies and sick people.

She believed in Daryl, even at the time that he wasn't able to believe in himself.

And even thought Beth didn't know that, she had changed him. She made him a better human.

Because if someone could do that to people, that someone was Beth.

And now she was dead. Was killed trying to save a friend, trying to do right thing. As she always tried before.

"You're gonna miss me so bad when I'm gone, Daryl Dixon".
