Slytherin's Outcast
-Dreamer-
Clunk Clunk Clunk
The girl jumped as she heard the familiar rattling of chains form the depths of Hogwarts dungeons. Even in the safety of the Slytherin dormitory, she shuddered. She never felt safe. She sighed as she returned to her sprawled homework, in a dark corner of the common room. She could hear the hissing laughter of the other Slytherins by the fire. So cold, so cruel. She glared bitterly at the fire, for providing the heckling crooks with warmth. Traitor. She heard the howls from the Dark Forest, as she gazed out the window. The tiny opening beared message of the wake of the full-moon evening.
She cursed the memory of her being sorted and coming to this school. When she arrived, she didn't exist, never seen. When she was sorted she still wasn't noticed, and that it is how it has remained for her life. As she stared at the pale moon she dreamed. Dreamed of being somewhere else, or someone else. Her dark blue eyes, underscored by blackness, glistened with hope. Hope being her only kindling, her worth. Someone will come, and she will become her dream. She will no longer be invisible in the depths of the school's hallowed halls. No longer would she be ignored and seen through by teachers. She will rise above all and be admired.
She broke from this strain of thought, in realisation that she was crumpling her parchment. Realism slapped her clod face. No one will ever notice her. She was anonymous, she was... Slytherin's Outcast.
So what do you think? My first ever official fan fic. Of course I've done plenty more before, I'm just not stupid enough to broadcast them worldwide. This is only a taste of what I can do. Should I continue this story? Do you have any suggestions? Review!
