I do not own Wreak-it-Ralph, nor do I own any characters. The only thing I own here is my headcannon.

He had done his best to make their world perfect.

They looked up to him and he did his best to keep the children completely satisfied. They had races set up 24/7, even if King Candy wasn't there to defend his title as 'Greatest Racer Ever' ((though it wasn't a part of the monarchs programming,, he was still Turbo deep down.)). Even when most of the children were sleeping, if any couldn't drift off or just wanted one more lap around one of the tracks, they were available.

Every now and then they all had an outing, usually to Burgertime, which was more children friendly then Tapper's, to try and satisfy their curiosity of the world outside of Sugar Rush. And the children were allowed to leave the game whenever they wanted, after-hours of course. They just knew their King didn't like it, so they didn't leave very much.

He didn't smother them. He knew from experience how degrading it could feel to be treated like a child simply because that's what you were programmed as. Besides, they would have to learn to rely on themselves as well as him, because, well… You never know.

But he didn't abandon them either. He raced with them, of course, what kind of racer would he be if he never raced with someone? He helped settle disputes, with plenty of help from Sour Bill. Despite his, well, sour personality, the small candy was a real peacemaker. He threw extravagant parties for holidays, their anniversary, and each child's programmed birthdays. He did his best to form close, personal bonds with each racer and a few candy citizens.

All in all, they had a good life.

But, despite his attempts, it wasn't perfect.

Not every racer could make the roster, and some rarely ever did, occasionally having to borrow coins from more fortunate friends. And even with all the racers, the candy citizens, and even Beard Papa, the children sometimes wanted to meet someone new. Other than race, party, and simply explore, there was little to do in Sugar Rush.

And then there was Vanellope.

When he had first token over, he felt terrible. So he took the former princess in. He had introduced her to the children she had formerly ruled over, and invoked sympathy, explaining that her coding had malfunctioned due to a recent hiccup of coding that had token their memories. He gave her rules to follow. The two biggest rules were that she could not, under any circumstances, participate in the Random Roster Race, nor could she use the Royal Raceway.

But she always asked why. He made something up about the players and Mr. Litwak being upset with her glitches and the game getting unplugged, leaving the racers homeless and killing her. She had backed off for a while.

But when she brought it up again, she wanted to risk it! She said that if the gamers didn't like her she would stop and the incident would be taken as a one-time thing. She would rather risk her life and everyone's home then just be satisfied with what she had!

Eventually he had locked away everyone's memories a second time and cast the girl out as a danger to the game.

The children had been merciless.

It pained him at times, seeing the racers torment the girl who had once been their princess and friend, but he pushed the guilt away. He had given her a chance and she had acted spoiled. So he took it away.

The game wasn't perfect for any of it's inhabitants, and it was the worst for the child it should be the best.

But at least he tried.

Opinions? Loved it? Hated it? No flames plese, I have a fragile pysche! And will probably rant at you... But all other comments are vastly appreciated!
