A/N: I don't own either the manga or the anime. Why the crossover? Because Manga!Sloth is a giant evil woobie and nobody writes about him, that's why.
Father gave each of them one of his deadly sins, and the ultimate skill for dealing with those sins. Lust had her lances, perfect for reaching out and taking whatever she desired. Envy had his shapeshifting, able to mimic whatever sparked his jealousy. Gluttony had his stomach, large enough to match his eyes. Greed had his shield, allowing him to take whatever he wished with impunity. And Wrath… or was it Pride? Sloth could never remember which was which; the homunculus was only aware that they both caused entirely too much work for Sloth to ever want to deal with, the Fuhrer with his overly cheerful smile and the little one with enough peppiness that it made Sloth exhausted just thinking about the boy. They were always Father's favorites, though. The Fuhrer had his Ultimate Eye, and whatever power the boy had, Sloth was sure that it was a match for that foresight.
Sloth was by no means a favorite, but for all the laziness that Father had put into the homunculus, he had also included a power more flexible than the lance, more powerful than the shapeshifting, and of more protective abilities than the stomach. Each time Father sent Sloth out into a new host, the powers changed to whatever talents might best serve the creator's plans. This suited Sloth well. The homunculus was too tired to want to have to adapt the powers to the situation without help.
The homunculus considered the new body, listening halfheartedly to the spirit that remained in its husk. It was eerily quiet, and the silence made the homunculus sleepy. They never particularly interested Sloth anyway, but sometimes, knowing what the previous owner of the body had thought about things saved Sloth the trouble of figuring them out. It could be a clue to the next task, as well. The last time Sloth had been placed into a body, it had been built like a truck, with strength and endurance even beyond its frame, but not much intelligence. Pride and Wrath had ordered the homunculus to dig, and then they'd watched Sloth to insure the task was completed. Now, just when Sloth thought he could finally rest, he'd been placed into this new form. It was smaller than the old one, Sloth noted. Shorter, slenderer, less muscled. The strength was gone.
Father smiled approvingly over his work. "Now, let's see how Van Hohenhiem deals with you."
"Why can't Lust do this?" Sloth tried the fingernails. They melted, unlike the Ultimate Lance's.
"We have other plans for her and Gluttony."
"If you insist," Sloth shrugged halfheartedly. "But I'm really too tired to be up for this."
Greed smirked wolfishly, the expression the same even on that new face, even with something else shining through the eyes behind him. "Don't worry; you probably won't even have to be awake to bring at least one of the sacrifices in."
"Bring the three of them here, Sloth. If the Ishvalan or Mustang follows as well, all the better, but don't blow your cover. Lust will be luring in a few more, and Envy has another on the way."
"If you say so, Father." Sloth turned and made her way out of the complex, covering a yawn with her liquid hand. "So tired…"
