A/N I would like to point out that this story is written for the Crayola and a Character challenge over in the HPFC forum.
Hope you enjoy!
She was the last person he would have cried in front of.
Not just because she's so damn intimidating
(She's Harry freaking Potter's daughter. You'd be scared too.)
or perfect, but because
he's always (like forever) had this crush on her.
So when she found him in the empty classroom after the fight,
he turns and tries to hide the tears.
But, Lily being Lily, simply walks over, plops down,
and lets him talk
while she listens.
"It was about my father. That prick thought he could get away
with calling my dad that name."
(murderer)
She just sits there and listens, her electric lime green eyes fixed
on his stormy grey ones.
"He's not a murderer though. I just know he isn't."
*he's right*
"Andrew Banks is the farthest thing from honest, Scorpius.
Don't waste your time listening to a word he says."
She says it so confidently, he can't help but believe her.
So he forgets about Banks.
Now the air is silent and they're just sitting there,
staring at each other.
The moon has just come up and its light is shining through the window.
All he wants to do is lean in and kiss those perfectly intimidating lips of hers
but their happily-ever-after is yet to come.
So they walk out of the old Transfiguaration room,
part ways (he to Slytherin, she to Gryffindor),
and don't speak for weeks.
But their happily-ever-after will come.
Just give it awhile.
