Badgerfur's adventures did not begin in his first story, Badgerfur's Test. They did not even begin that week, or the hour before the action that took place then. They obviously began before he was even born, and was in the frantic race to—well, never mind. That is Medicine Cat talk.
But that is not worth writing about, and would be terribly dull to read. If you want to be bored to death by biology, ask me about how it is possible for Leafpool and Squirrelflight to have inherited the appearances and genes that they did. So I simply shall start documenting his escapades from the important parts up.
For truly dedicated Warriors and fan-fiction lovers, you will have noticed that the gap between The New Prophecy and The Power of Three is two whole freakin' generations! That's a large gap. A gap that fan-fics are quick to fill.
From the beginning, it is rather clear that that two generations is going to be overlooked and ignored. If Firestar isn't in it, it's just not worth is, right? Wrong. It is in fact, a perfect opportunity for us writers: the stage is set in a nice new setting, same old characters, and not any complicated older plots to have to navigate around.
That time is supposed to be peaceful. Hah. Yeah right. Not when we are around.
So basically, Badgerfur is here to "disturb the peace" set about by Erin Hunter at the end of Sunset. Well, not Badgerfur, exactly, but he will certainly play a part in it, by becoming entangled in a web of lies so complex that even the spider that spun them could get lost. Which is a problem because Badgerfur is not even that spider. That's Rippedclaw. Badgerfur is the fly who happened to fall in love with the deputy, who is so totally off limits.
After a nice long period where many of the characters we know and love from TNP "went forth and multiplied", I have a colorful new set of character to torture and maim. Sound fun, huh? Just watch me.
And just for the record:
Leader: Bramblestar (sniff Wouldn't Tigerstar be proud? Not!)
Deputy: Dappledleaf
Medicine Cat: Cinderpelt (For those who haven't read Sunset, don't ask! And by a really weird coincidence, the ending was freakishly similar to a plot I wrote months ago, but that's another story.)
Warriors: Badgerfur
Squirrelflight (senior warrior, in TNP)
Spiderleg (in TNP)
Whitepelt (in TNP, was apprenticed)
Shadowheart (who is NOT in fact, evil)
Leafheart
Darkwind
Apprentices: Silverpaw
Oakpaw
Bluepaw
Elders: Greystripe
Cloudtail
Brightheart
