Eric Cartman trekked towards his friend. The sky was painted a dark blue and the snowstorm caused a constant prick of cold to his body. Tears were forming in his eyes, and he did not know whether they were forming from the freezing weather or the intense moment he was involved in.

"K—K-Kyle," He began, teeth chattering. He dug his blue fingers into the temporary warmth of his coat pockets.

"Kyle, I miss you. This is the first time I've spoken to you since that night…" His voice trailed off. "I want you to know that I miss you. I m-miss talking to you. If I c-could have one wish, I'd tell you what I was really feeling that n-n-n-night back. I love you."

Eric Cartman closed his eyes.

There lay Kyle Broflovski, pale and bald, yet still perfect alone in a light blue hospital bed. His bright, exhilarant emerald eyes were now replaced with dull green eyes that if could speak, would say "help." His long, crimson locks of hair were shed and now all that remained was pale skin.

The teenager sat down in a plastic chair that sat beside the bed. The calendar read December 5, 2009.

"Eric," Kyle tried to begin, but then coughed. "You're the person I wanted here the most."

The boy glared at his sickly enemy. "Do not call me that."

"Why not?" Kyle asked.

"Only people I care about can call me Eric. To you, I'm Cartman." Cartman spat.

"But you do care about me. Don't even try to hide it anymore…I know you love me. It's obvious and I'm not going to let you hide from it anymore. To tell you the truth, I love you back, Eric." The sickly boy confessed.

"That's a joke. You're a joke. Even if you survive this, you'll still be dead to me." And with that, Cartman walked out.

With his eyes still closed, Eric Cartman sat down in the snow. He reached forward and touched a hard, frozen surface and moved his hand back and forth to remove the snow from it. He opened his eyes and read:

Kyle Broflovski

Son and Friend

Eric closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around the tombstone. The coldness took their final nips at his defenseless body. A wave of heat rushed through the teenager's body, and finally the cold took his body, mind, and soul to a better place.
