The Shadow Man

Hey guys, just a quick one-shot I thought I'd do, this will tie in with a saga I have in progress at the moment called 'the Shadow empire saga'. My other fanfic, Self-Awareness WILL tie in with this saga, so if you haven't read it yet, I REALLY think you should, otherwise you won't have a clue of what's going on later on when I start doing the crossovers. Anyway, just sit back, relax and enjoy.

It had been two months since Team Flare's failed attempt to control Yveltal and Xerneas. Two months since Ash Ketchum, along with Iris and Cilan, foiled yet another organization's schemes. Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, the only organization that had not been disbanded, the only organization whose Leading members had not been arrested by the police, swore that would not happen to his organization. So he pulled a few strings. Used his connections and got all the leaders of the other organizations out of prison and added the manpower of their organizations to his. Soon, he had an army. A formidable army and vast amounts of resources, with eyes and ears in all the 6 regions. In truth, he pittied the grunts. Some just joined because they needed the money. Some just wanted nothing but money. Others just joined and followed without question as if they had no minds of their own. However, he had to constantly watch out for the higher in rank that would occasionally try to betray him. But nothing could prepare him for this. He was monitoring the cameras one night and saw that every one of the Team leaders were being killed in their sleep. Then the doors to his office flung open and a barrage of bullets came flying towards him, killing his Persian while he ducked behind his desk, grabbing the assault rifle he had hidden there. He then returned fire, while turning on his communicator. "This is Giovanni, I'm under attack, I repeat, I'm under attack! Requesting backup immediately!"

A voice came from the other side of the communicator. "You won't make it out of this one Giovanni. Our master's plan is in motion, and you will die."

"Crap." Giovanni thought that desperate times called for desperate measures. He then pulled a detonator out of his pocket, a plan in case things went south and the police raided the place. He pushed the button, causing massive explosions to occur all throughout the base. Giovanni took this opportunity and charged, firing and killing 3 of the operatives, making a break for the helicopter. As he was starting up the chopper, he started getting shot at from more operatives. The motor made a sound that drained out all the noise of the gunfire as it started up. Giovanni's helicopter took off, flying away from the base. Giovanni looked back at the base, now on fire, with explosions still rocking the base.

Any high level members are dead by now, and I can't trust any of those grunts. I wonder if….

But before Giovanni could finish his thoughts, a sniper bullet pierced his skull, causing the helicopter to spin out of control and crash. The sniper took out a holocommunicator and a holographic figure of a man in black robes, with a hood on. It blocked out so much of his face that you could only see everything below his nose.

"Master, all of the heads of Team Rocket are now dead, including Giovanni, and you now have an army of soldiers who will not hesitate to execute any order you give and follow you without question." The agent said.

"Excellent, my shadow agent. My plans in the Mobian galaxy are already underway, and now I have this one in the palm of my hand. Soon, I will execute Nightfall, and with one swift stroke, I will have three galaxies under my control."
