Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, Hermione, Harry, or anything else of any concern.

This is pretty short, and I'm sorry! I had trouble ending it, but I like it pretty well and yeah... Here it is!

Hermione Granger hurried through the empty corridors, shivering in the early morning cold. Though she was technically allowed to be up at this hour, the silence was ominous. She was greatly relieved when she neared the door and was on the grounds.

Once she was safely outside, Hermione took off running as fast as she could. Though the grounds were huge, she reached the Quidditch Pitch in less then a minute. "Harry!" she exclaimed, seeing him just landing.

Harry waved and left the rest of the team to come talk with her. "Hi, Hermione," he said, sounding tired. "What is it?"

Hermione shrugged. She now felt slightly silly. "Well , I heard you get up at about four in the morning, so I wasn't sure where you were going. I thought Quidditch, but I-wasn't sure," she finished lamely.

Harry smiled. "It's just Quidditch, Hermione," he said. "Don't worry. Why else would I get up so early?"

"I don't know," Hermione said, embarrassed. "I guess it's a bit dumb, but I thought maybe you'd heard something or-I really don't know."

Harry smiled reassuringly at her. "It's okay, Hermione," he said kindly. "I understand exactly what you mean. Besides, now you're up, you can have a decent breakfast with me before Hogsmeade. You know how you never eat properly because you're so impatient."

"I'm not impatient," Hermione protested. "And I completely forgot about Hogsmeade! I think I've forgotten some things I need to buy, actually! I'll catch you later-"

Harry held out his hand to stop her. "No, really Hermione! You're always so pressed for time. Just relax. I'll go quickly, and then we can go eat. I'm sure Ron'll be up soon. Wait!"

Hermione rolled her eyes pointedly at him as he headed back to the changing rooms, and then settled dorm on the bleachers. In almost no time at all, he reappeared. "Let's go."

Hermione nodded and ran off with him, feeling rather awake now. The Great Hall was practically deserted when they entered it, but breakfast had been served. Hermione sat down at the Gryffindor table and helped herself to eggs and bacon.

"It's not so bad waking up early," Hermione said thoughtfully.

Harry laughed. "It really can be fun," he admitted. "But after enough early morning practice, you get too used to it."

Hermione nodded. "Yeah, I guess. Besides, it is awfully early anyway. We can't go to Hogsmeade for hours. What are you going to do?"

Harry shrugged, but Hermione brightened almost instantly. "We can go to the library and study!" she exclaimed. "We have several good hours, it'll be perfect for Slughorn's essay!"

As Hermione settled down to finish, Harry just shook his head, laughing silently.

Did you like it? I hope so!

Please review! I know Hermione doesn't really freak out about Hogsmeade, but I put that in there. I don't know why? I just did. Yup. Anyway, bye!
