Parting

I look back and smile,
I spread my arms and soar.
I kiss your cheek goodbye,
I close my eyes and weep.
I hold you close and whisper love,
I run to you with all my might.
I touch your cheek, and hold your hand,
I trip and fall, I lose your sight.
I spin you 'round, and put you down,
I see the lights of your abode.
I feed you dinner, I watch you smile,
I give my dreams for another's life.
I shale your hand and stare at you,
I drop my guard and fall, for you.
I help you up, and say hello,
In final parting, I give you him.
