Light really certainly didn't expect what he saw. He didn't know what he'd been expecting, really, when it came down to it – the last thing on his mind when the eccentric detective chained himself to him was what L wore when he slept. In fact, he kind of assumed that L didn't sleep at all, much less in bed like everyone else. Anyway, Light himself had finished preparing for bed, which consisted of stripping to his boxers and putting the dirty clothes in the hamper. Batman pyjamas.
Not just normal character print on fleece, oh no. They were pyjamas based upon the Batman costume – the belt, the tights, the bat motif; all printed on to look like some sort of baggy cotton version of the real thing. Hanging down from L's shoulders was a hood; probably with the half mask and little ears, too. L looked like an oversized toddler, garbed up in that. Light tried – and failed rather dismally – to stifle the laughter that erupted from his chest.
"Batman pyjamas," he remarked. "Sexy." L tilted his head to the side in apparent confusion.
"Light finds Batman sexy?" he asked. "Or does he find me sexy in Batman pyjamas?"
Light snorted. "Oh yes, Ryuzaki. You look simply dashing."
"Hm." L hummed, pulling the handcuffs out from seemingly nowhere. Light decided he really didn't want to know. "Then perhaps, if Light would prefer, I will wear these all the time."
"That won't be necessary," Light resisted the urge to roll his eyes as he held out his wrist. "If you wore them all the time I simply don't know if I could control myself!" The silver metal of the handcuff shut around his wrist with a loud 'click'.
"Suit yourself." L shrugged. The two of them plodded towards the bed. "Though, I do hope Light will refrain from molesting me in my sleep. That would be quite bothersome." They clambered under the royal blue sheets, Light on the left side and L on the right.
"I'll try my best, Ryuzaki." Light, his back now turned to the detective, did roll his eyes this time. "Good night."
"Good night, Light."
