"Now, I think I've got an idea about what's going on."

Sharon Pond turned away from Amelia, who was sitting cross-legged on the floor and reading some book about Romans, to look at the psychiatrist before her.

"Is there any part of Amelia's story that appears to be true?" Dr. Young asked, peering at Sharon over his reading glasses.

"Well...the shed was destroyed," Sharon offered. "I don't really know how it happened."

"I told you," Amelia said impatiently from the floor. "The police box fell on it."

"And that, I believe, is where the truth comes out," Dr. Young said with an unnecessary amount of excitement.

"What do you mean?" Sharon asked.

"You see, many of the tall tales children tell begin in reality, and I think Amelia's story is no different," he explained quickly. "The most likely thing is that something did destroy the shed, possibly something related to the police. Amelia?" Dr. Young turned to the red-headed girl, who looked up, annoyed. "Did a police car run over your shed?"

"What?" Amelia stared at the doctor. "It was a box, not a car."

"What are you saying, Dr. Young?" Sharon asked, frowning slightly.

"I think Amelia may have actually saw a police car in her yard, but thought it was box, due to the wreckage of the shed surrounding the car."

"I don't-" Sharon began, but Dr. Young cut her off, talking excitedly.

"Amelia said the man's name was 'The Doctor.' Well, perhaps he was a policeman with a Ph.D., therefore introducing himself as 'Doctor.'"

Sharon tried to interrupt again, and Amelia was staring at him with a look of disbelief on her face, but Dr. Young was too far into his theory to be distracted.

"Amelia brought him inside, to show him the crack in her wall, but obviously he would have seen it was nothing to worry about. So he told her he would be back in five minutes with a carpenter, to check that the crack wasn't jeopardizing the safety of the house itself. However, upon returning to his police car, he got a call about a crime involving a criminal, hence Amelia's story about 'Prisoner Zero', so he forgot about her and disappeared." Dr. Young ceased speaking, smiling at Sharon with a look of pride on his face.

"You're mad," Sharon said simply. "Come, Amelia. We're leaving."

Leading Amelia out of the office, Sharon stopped at the door to say, "Just so you know, the shed was crushed from above. Unless your police car was flying, I can't say I understand how it managed to get on top of the shed."

Dr. Young stared at her, magnificent theory crashing down on him. "Oh," he said in a small voice. "You could have mentioned that earlier."
