two halves of a whole

It's been a while, hasn't it? A while since he's seen her, a while since he's held her, touched her, talked to her.

But if you think about it, it really hasn't. He thinks it's been a while, but it's not. It's only been a few weeks… Three? Not even – two weeks, five days, thirteen hours and sixteen minutes, but who's counting? Not him, definitely. But they're never apart for long.

A week, here or there. A day or two one week, and then they're together for a year. Because they're partners. Scratch that, they're more than partners. They're two halves of a whole (how cliché is that?). It's entirely true though. She feeds off of his energy, he feeds off hers. They need each other to function properly.

And three weeks? Three weeks? That's like, eternity.

a/n: yeah, i don't know either.
