AN: background to this story: well I was in a very inspiring mood so hopefully my mood will give you guys a good story to read.

Chapter One: You could've stayed
Rain hit the transparent umbrella but not even that will snap her out of it. She held the umbrella in her shaking hand tighter making her hand look paler than it is. She stood calmly looking towards where she saw him walk away…leaving her life forever.
Forever…
That word rang through her head since that word left his tan lips. Her eyelids lowered in thoughtful sadness before she turns and also walks away. She knew she won't shed a tear until she is hidden under her covers in her bed. Her dark azure eyes shine with unshed tears knowing he was planning to do this when his father found out about them. Why didn't she walk away before? It wasn't her first time thinking that but she guessed she just wanted him to care for her or even come close to loving her.
She sighed and noticed that she finally arrived home which didn't take her by surprise. She let her eyes travel to where her last name was written on besides the door. Higurashi, she cursed and yet blessed that name because it was her last name that brought him into her life.
"Kagome is that you?" Was the first thing she heard when she entered the door. In a daze, Kagome took of her rain coat and hang it besides the door before switching her wet shoes with slippers and headed towards the kitchen where her sister Irisu Higurashi was sipping her evening tea, reading her usual book of feudal tales. Irisu lowered the book down when she noticed the look on her younger sister's face. She narrowed her soft azure eyes knowing what happened and raised her free hand towards her sister so she can take it. "Kagome…" and that did it; Kagome quickly jumped to her sister's open arms and cried. Irisu laid her hand on Kagome's raven hair murmuring comforting words.
"He is gone Irisu just like that." Kagome said crying to her sister not caring if she is exposing herself like that. "We knew this was going to happen sooner or later little sister…I wish I could've prevented it from happening but Mr. Tashio made it clear…" Irisu said softly making Kagome look at her. She felt her heart brake seeing her little sister like this but it was made clear that Kagome Higurashi and Inuyasha Tashio couldn't be together. For that, he was sent to another country so he could take care of the company his father created to solve this 'simple' situation. It was a ridiculous idea because they were only 15 years old for kami's sake but that didn't change Tashio's mind one bit.
To merge their companies, both Higurashi and Tashio agreed to marry both the oldest daughter and son when both were in right age to take over the company. Turns out that it will be Irisu Higurashi and Sesshoumaru Tashio that will soon marry. How she detested the idea but she wouldn't back down but got revenge on moving away from her parent's estate and brought Kagome with her since their parents always travelled leaving no one to take care of her little sister but her.
"Do you think…I will see him again Irisu?" Kagome murmured quietly. "I won't lie to you and say you will but you never know what fates are planning." Irisu patted Kagome's head with a smile. "Now get your pretty little butt in the shower and come down for dinner." Kagome couldn't help but smile with a nod and ran upstairs to get prepared.
Irisu sighed not knowing what to do about her little sister. "What a predicament you got me in elder Tashio." She murmured with a hint of annoyance while her eyes linger back to her book gazing at the gigantic silver dog jumping towards the sky.
