My love for side characters has gone too far...?

"Hey, Zen. What did you write in that letter?" Suiten asked, downing her gin in one shot at the pub the two were at, after failing the Couple-Limited Saint Sent X-mas Event.

"What letter?"

She grimaced. He really was going to make her spell it out wasn't he?

"The one you sent to me, requesting that I train you're brat on black tech."

"...You're drunk." Zen stated, swigging a drink from his whiskey. Suiten eyed his half-empty bottle and scowled.

"So are you, you old fart. Just tell meee."

"Why is it so important to you?" He sighed, as if she was asking him of something outlandishly tiring.

"Cheh. You haven't contacted me for years, you must have said something interesting to bribe me for the favor."

Zen lowered his head to look her in the eyes, their faces inches apart.

"Do you really want to know...?" Suiten felt her face go red, the heat creeping up to her ears. It's the gin, it's definitely the gin.

"Y-yes."

He grabbed a napkin next to an abandoned glass and scrawled something down, turning his back so that she wouldn't see. Folding the napkin over many times, he finally turned around, and handed it to her.

Suiten could feel her blush darken to scarlet as she slowly unfolded the napkin, fingers trembling before she finally got the the message inside.

...Nobody dared to comment on the hand-shaped bruise on Zen's cheek that lasted weeks after.
