AN: Okay, so this is how my day has been. With a little less than 5 hours under my belt, I woke up to find I had a few new reviews. Yay...Not. I messed up. When I thought I was writing out a scene of Rookie Blue in my own words, apparently I simply copied the entire scene, so I had 1 very horrible and nasty review using several inappropriate words. I had a second review that was rude, but not overly so, and a third review that agreed with all of the above but decided to use more "tact". Not to mention, all three of these review were the first flame I have ever recieved. I was very hurt by the things that were said, and if it were possible I would report the single person that talked to me in such a way. I do apologize for any misunderstanding, it was not my intention to copy the scene or plagiarize in anyway. However, i know for a fact that authors do copy scenes word for word to use in their stories and I know for a fact that had anyone else wrote out the scene it could never be exactly like my version, but it was my interpretation, along with actual dialogue. I did recieve 2 nice reviews so that cheered me up. I was severely embarrassed, and I removed the whole story, but this just got my muse in overdrive, so here I am again, with something completely original THANK YOU! But on top of that I had to go school clothes shopping, which I hate! Stupid uniform! Ignore my rant. This is part of my drabble series and please enjoy.

Prompt: Cabin

Disclaimer: I own nothing Rookie Blue. But I do own my OCs: Nana Riley and Granddad Thomas

When she was just a small girl, her parents used to drive up to a little cabin her Nana Riley and Granddad Thomas owned. It wasn't anything fancy; it had two floors, two bedrooms- one up, one down, a good sized kitchen, and this little screened-in sunroom that overlooked the lake.

During the summer, they would drive 4 hours to spend a couple weeks up there. It would always be this big trip that they would spend months planning.

Her Grandparents actually lived on this giant farm further west, but for a couple weeks every summer, they would pack up their belongings and stay in this little cabin.

Every night, they would cook out on this great big grill and make s'mores, and her dad would tell stories from summers at the cabin when he was a kid. And later, after Momma and Nana went to bed, her daddy and Granddad Thomas would stay up playing poker, and they would let her sit in and teach her the game.

But her favorite part was this rope that had been hanging on the same tree branch (except when the branch broke 20 years ago) for ages. And every afternoon she would swing into the lake, ignoring her mother's worried cries.

Nana and Granddad Thomas slept in the bedroom downstairs, and her own parents upstairs, and every night, she would relish being the one to sleep on the highly coveted pull-out sofa.

And every morning Nana would be up bright and early making breakfast; Granddad Thomas would be sitting at the table, a newspaper in his hands, and a coffee at his side.

So every year, they came faithfully until Granny became ill, and Granddad Thomas had to sell the farm and stop working to take care of his wife.

Right before Andy turned 11, Nana passed away in her sleep, and Daddy was never the same- Granddad Thomas either. He would just sit in the sunroom, watching over the lake... all by himself.

After Nana's death, Momma didn't have the strength to put up with Daddy. And the day Andy learned to pick a lock was the day her momma left.

I hope you like it, because it was fun for me to write. I have learned my lesson, so here is my new sign off!

Please review! Tell me you like it, tell me what I could change, but no flames!
