AN: I do not own Code Lyoko and any of its characters. However, the children are mine!
It was one o'clock in the morning and nothing could be heard except the howling of the wolves and the swift footsteps of a girl. It was way past Kadic's curfew, but she didn't care. She had managed to sneak past Jim without any trouble. The cough syrup she slipped in his drink did wonders. Her only goal tonight was to get into the factory unnoticed. She was on a mission and no one was going to stop her.
She stopped in the middle of the clearing. She glanced around the forest before she lifted the sewer lid and climbed down the ladder, carefully replacing the lid behind her. She grabbed the old skateboard and made her way to the factory.
Tonight's the night she thought as she slid down the rope and headed to the elevator. She watched as the doors slid shut and the elevator started to rise. When the doors opened, she walked over to the computer and sat down.
She pulled up several data files on the computer screen. She slipped on the headset and started typing quickly. A few clicks later and it was ready. She climbed down to the scanner room and boldly entered one of the scanners.
Transfer Libby.
Scanner Libby.
Virtualization.
All that could be seen on the monitor was a red exclamation point.
When she finally appeared on Lyoko, nothing appeared as she expected. Her body ached and she realized she was in a data cage in an unfamiliar location. She tried to sit up but realized her ankles and wrists had blue cuffs holding her to the ground. Upon closer inspection she noticed the cuffs were made out of binary code and had a strange symbol etched on them. The symbol was made of a dot with two circles around it, with one short line coming out the top and three longer ones on the bottom.
"Where am I?" she asked.
"Lyoko," she heard a male voice reply.
"This isn't Lyoko!" she exclaimed. "This is a data field!"
"That's where you're wrong. This is Carthage, the 5th sector," she heard.
"What? Who are you?" she cried.
"I really have to thank you, you know. If it wasn't for you and your father, I never would be back here today" a voice replied.
"Show yourself!" she yelled.
"Bold words from a helpless girl." She looked over and saw a young boy appearing in front of her. "Just like your father, stubborn."
"Who are you?" she exclaimed again. "And what does my father have to do with this?"
"I am NAXA, and you, Miss Dunbar, are the link to help me take over the world." XANA replied. "And now, I think it's time to you to go back to sleep."
"What?" Libby cried as everything faded to black. "Wait, don't!"
NAXA looked at the girl on the ground.
"Perfect."
AN: It's the first part of a story I've had in my head for a long time!
