Don't own House
"Greg, why don't you believe in me?"
House looked up to see what he knew was GOD and what he ASSUMED was an overactive imagination from a night of partying but he decided to answer Him anyway.
"Because if I believed in you," he said, "I would hate you. You claim to be all loving and all merciful but my life has been HELL for the past 12 years"
"You're angry because I let your daughter die"
"GEE! YOU THINK! YOU WENT INTO THE WRONG PROFESSION. YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN SHRINK!"
"Did you ever think maybe Megan was better off dead?"
"HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT! SHE WAS SEVEN-YEAR-OLD DAMNIT!"
"And she had a lot of damage from the accident"
"WHY THE HELL COULDN'T YOU STOP THE FUCKEN ACCIDENT! I WANT MY DAUGHTER BACK"
"You're a doctor"
"YA THINK! WHY DON'T YOU STOP STATING THE OBVIOUS AND GIVE ME BACK MY DAMN LIFE"
"Fine," GOD said, "I'll show you how it would have been had she lived"
Suddenly they were in a hospital bedroom.
A 19-year-old girl, lie on a hospital bed in a vegetative state. She couldn't move. She couldn't think. But she looked like she was in pain.
"Is that Meg?"
"She's been like this for twelve years. It's been that way ever since the accident"
"Why couldn't you have prevented the accident?"
"It wasn't meant to be prevented. The accident did a lot of people a lot of good.
"One of the people it did good was you"
"HOW THE G-D HELL DID IT DO ME ANY GOOD," House shouted, "I LOST MY CHILD"
"And you became a better doctor," GOD said
"BUT I LOST HER," he said
"Did you," GOD replied, "She's happy and safe and free"
"SHE'S DEAD!"
"Exactly and she's not like this," GOD motioned to the bed.
"Point for you," House mumbled.
"Great so maybe you'll believe in me now"
"We'll see," House said
