I woke up. My Persian was lying at the end of my bed, my Victini next to it. I got out of bed and wondered into the hall outside my bed room. My bathroom was right across from my room so I entered and got ready. I had a lot of time to get ready as it was still dark out. After I got up my parents and sister were up and sitting down at the kitchen table eating breakfast.

"Hey Mom, Dad, and Viola, I'm going to Professor Juniper to get my starter," I stated to my family.

"Ok, take care we'll be at the outside when you get done to see your choice," Mom replied.

I got on my black Honda street bike, it was a gift from mom and dad for my 16th birthday as the journey start age had been moved to 16 now, and rode down the street to the professor's lab.

"Well hello, Edgar, are you here to get your starter Pokémon. You're the first one so you get full choice on which one you want," She told me happily.

"Well now after seeing them all in person I have noticed that they are all really cute," I stated, followed by a Snivy hitting me with its tail. "But I think that I'm going to get Tepig," Oshawott fell over stone cold in sadness.

"Oh it looks like Oshawott would like to go with you too, would you like to take him with you?" She inquired

"You can do that? I really wanted that one too but I didn't think that I could get two."

"Well this one seems to like you so I'll make an exception in this case."

"Oh thank you so much I'll take good care of both of them I won't let you down."

"Ok well take care and take this pokedex and these pokeballs."

I then took my Pokémon and things and left the lab. My family was waiting outside.

"Hey which Pokémon did you get Edgar?" Viola inquired.

"Here let me show you. Come out team!" Victini, Persian, Oshawott, and Tepig then appeared before her eyes.

"Wow they're so cute!" She exclaimed.

"Well Son, we'll miss you while you're on your journey so we bought you a few things," Mom stated, I could see the bags with the apple store logo and sprint logo on them.

"Here we bought you a Macbook Pro so you can email and Facetime us, a Thinkpad so you can continue writing or with your new iPhone you can Facetime anywhere," Dad stated.

"Thanks so much guys I'll be back to visit you guys when I can," I concluded getting back on my bike going down the road. The wind in my face without my family, just my Pokémon felt so good like a major triumph on the road of life. Now onto the next city, Accumula Town.
