Chapter 1
One day Sarah is tending to her and Gordon's 4 year old daughter Madeline's scraped knee when 14 year old Max walks into the kitchen.
''Hey Aunt Sarah hey Madeline.'' Max says
''hey Max.'' Sarah says
''hwi.'' Madeline says from sitting up on the island in the middle of the kitchen
''okay sweetie this is gonna sting you ready?'' Sarah asks her aiming some disinfecting spray at her knee and does it quickly
''ouch!'' Madeline screams
''shh baby it's okay it's over now mommy's gonna put a band-aid on it and you will be all better.'' Sarah tells her
''so how are you Max?'' Sarah asks him watching him get down some cookies
''good.'' Max tells her
''that's good okay go play baby.'' Sarah says and tells her daughter
''so how's your sister?'' Sarah asks him
''I don't know.'' Max tells her
''oh.'' Sarah says
21 year old Amber walks into the kitchen.
''Hey Mom oh Hey Max.'' Amber says
''hey Hunnie whay are you doing home from school?'' Sarah asks her
''Hi Amber.'' Max says
''I just needed a break and to get off campus for a while where's Maddy?'' Amber asks her
''she's playing with her toys.'' Sarah tells her
''so here's a crazy question you up for babysitting tonight?'' Sarah asks her nodding her head
''yes please and thank you very much.'' Sarah tells her
''well I guess I am babysitting now then.'' Amber says
''I have her every night Amber.'' Sarah tells her
''Gordon has been so busy at work we barley even have time to see each other and we need a date night so I was just thinking he gets off early tonight why not just make it tonight.'' Sarah tells her
''so how are you and school and things?'' Sarah asks her
''fine.'' Amber tells her
''good.'' Sarah says
''are you getting good grades?'' Sarah asks her
''um. they are fine.'' Amber tell sher
''good,so have you talked to your brother lately?'' Sarah asks her
''um we get on skype once in a while when we both have time and catch up with each other.'' Amber tells her
''that's good.'' Sarah says
''yea, it is I guess.'' Amber says
