'I'm so tired' was what Naruto wanted to say, but instead he pushed himself to the very last bit of his Energy.
He was holding the unconscious Sasuke over his shoulder, bringing him back home all by himself.
He really didn't know just how they managed to get him back, he just remembered waking up, looking at Shikamaru who was on the ground coughing blood and flinching every time he'd move. He looked around and saw many dead people, everything soaking with blood. It was when he noticed their blood on his hands. He asked Shikamaru what's going on, and every little word of him was still in his head; the voice with pure fear and horror
"Everyone's dead!!!! You killed everyone!!!"
Naruto was walking over a big bridge that was leading to the Konohagakure. He looked at the river underneath the bridge 'So free, always going its way'
When he was coming to the end of the bridge, he could already see Konoha.
He gave a hint of a laugh from him and was so happy to be home that he just started running, suddenly forgetting all his pains.
While running, he had to hold Sasuke firmer, with the hand that was like broken less than an hour ago
Right in front of the tall entrance, he stopped though. 'How should I explain the deaths?'
Naruto breathed in a deep and heavy breath before passing the entrance.
He sneaked his way to Tsunade's office(?) not wanting to cope with all the parents.
He just simply jumped from roof to roof.
Seeing the front door of the office, he noticed a good amount of people building a queue at it, one of them being Sakura-chan. He looked around desperately, trying to find another entrance. To his relief he spotted a window to the room of the obviously very busy Hokage. He managed to sneak to the window knock at it.
Tsunade opened the window in a blink of an eye, pulled him and Sasuke in and closed it as fast again.
Naruto caught himself again from the shock and stumbled to a nearby bed, seemingly for patients.
He lied Sasuke down very carefully and turned to the window, to leave again but Tsunade stopped him by holding his wrist.
He turned to her confused and concerned looking face.
"Naruto, what happened?"
Naruto looked away again.
"I-I don't know!!" with that he snatched his hand back and made his way back to the window.
"All these people in front of my office are waiting for their family members and friends, you can't leave like that"
Naruto opened the window and without turning back he told her
"It was a mission, it was completed successfully because every member fulfilled his own duties."
Naruto paused
"Unfortunately, every single member of the team died"
With that he leapt out of sight.
This time, he ran on the street, no one would talk to him either way.
No one would ask why his clothes were soaked in blood.
No one would acknowledge him.
He ran as fast as his feet would carry him.
Soon after he'd left Konohagakure and was now at the river he'd seen before.
'Everyone out of my team died a honourable death, they're free now.
I want to be free, too. Please, lead me to the place you're going. Let me be a part of your world'
