I own nothing
Kid Flash sat on the floor with his back up against the wall. He was panting and holding his chest. Normally this wouldn't be something you see the boy doing, because being out of breath way something that only happened to nonspeedsters, but he wasn't out of breath from running. Kid Flash had just been punched in the chest by Bane.
It wasn't his fault he had been hit. He was just doing his little bird friend a favor. Robin had been hacking into this building master control system so he could turn off the alarms and let his team move around freely. At this point hacking was all the kid had on the brain so Kid Flash was standing guard. Neither of them knew that The Boy Wonder had set off a silent alarm when he pressed the first button on the computer. A few moments later Bane came crashing through the wall and ran straight toward Robin.
The room they were in was small, so it would only take a second for Bane to smash the small boy sitting at the computer. Kid Flash knew what he had to do and he knew it was going to hurt badly but he didn't have time to think about that. He just run over to Robin and pushed him out of the way as Banes huge fist came down on his own chest. Upon impact the speedster could feel all his ribs snapping. He tried to cry out but he couldn't the pain was too great. He just leaned up against the wall he had fallen next to and hoped that the rest of his team was on their way.
As Robin was pushed aside he turned and after he did he really wished he didn't. He got to see his best friend get crushed right as it happened. That was something he had never hoped to see. Anger quickly overtook the boy and he jumped onto Banes back. Bane let out a laugh. What could this little Niño do to him? Robin quickly pulled a baterang out of his utility belt and slashed to tubes on Banes back. The Venom in them sprayed out all over the room drenching everything in the liquid.
Bane began to shrink back to normal size. Robin jumped off his back and ran over to his friend's side. He took one look at the condition Kid was in and called his team for help. A few minutes later the rest of the team was by their sides looking at their broken team mate. Superboy quickly became angry and picked up the Venomless Bane. Bane was no longer a threat to them and would be in jail within the hour. The two girls on the team stood back, unsure of what they could do to help someone in so much pain. Aqualad kneeled down next to his friend and put a hand the speedsters shoulder right before he passed out.
Later that day Kid Flash woke up in the caves medical room. He was laying on a bed with his chest wrapped tight with bandages. He tried to sit up but couldn't. He was still in a lot of pain even with the pain killers the league had pumped into him. Laying there alone, a thought popped into his head. He had saved Robin. A huge dorky grin appeared on his face. No one would ever hear the end of how he had saved the boy wonder from 'certain' death.
