Chapter 1
One night Lorelai is talking to Rory on the phone and they are finishing up thier conversation.
"I don t know. What s Lane doing tonight?" Lorelai wonders
"She s going to the hockey game with her fake boyfriend." Rory tells her
"Perfect." Lorelai says
"Perfect? It s a hockey game." Rory tells her
"It ll be fun. There ll be cheerleaders and clowns, people doing the wave." Lorelai says
"You have no idea what a hockey game is, do you?" Rory wonders
"It doesn t matter. Put on a jacket and get outta there, and if he calls . . ." Lorelai says
"Who cares!" Rory says
"That s my girl!" Lorelai says in a joyful tone
"Thanks, Mom!" she says in a proud tone
"bye Hon!" Lorelai says
Rory hangs up and gets up off the couch grabbing her jacet leaving the house and makes her way out the door.
Lorelai hangs up with Rory and smiles then hits the button for Adam's work place.
"Adam Braverman." he answers
"hey!" Lorelai says happily
"hey." he says
"what are you doing tonight?" she wonders
"nothing sweetie why?" he wonders
"well see there's kind of this big hockey game here tonight in Stars Hollow the high school is in the semi regional finals and they play tonight and Rory and Lane are going so I was wondering if you wanted to go with me and meet them there?" she wonders
"oh well um..." he says
"it will be fun." she tells him
"okay sure." he says
"really?" she confirms
"yeah, I would love to go." he tells her
"okay well, meet me there at 7?" she wonders
"okay." he says
"so what are you doing now?" she wonders
"working, you?" he wonders
"oh yeah same thing.' she tells him
"okay, I should go." he tells her
"okay yeah, me too. I'll see you later tonight then." she tells him
"yes you will, bye babe." he says
"bye." she says and hangs up and smiles and goes back to work
Adam hangs up and sits back in his chair and just smiles because he just talked to the love of his life and just is thinking about her a lot.
