Winter

Down in spiral mountain it was Kazooie's most hated time of the year: Winter. It was late and Kazooie couldn't go to sleep cause of the sub-zero temperatures.

"Good night Kazooie." Banjo said as he snuggled in his nice warm bed.

"G-g-good n-night b-Banjo" Kazooie said as she shook and shivered inside Banjo's backpack. Her teeth continued to chatter as she tried to close her eyes and go to sleep. Banjo noticed.

"Kazooie" Banjo said

"S-sorry b-Banjo I-I'll try and b-be q-q-quiet." Kazooie said. She squeezed her eyes shut and prayed for sleep. Then she felt as though she were being lifted up out of the backpack, then she felt something drape over her then she felt warm. She then opened her eyes and saw that Banjo had picked her up and put her down next to him in his bed. He was staring deep into her emerald green eyes and she stared right into his sky blue eyes.

"You still cold?" Banjo asked.

"Well, a little." Kazooie said as a grin formed on her face. Banjo then wrapped his arms around Kazooie and started snuggling her against his warm body. Both of them started to blush. Then kazooie closed her eyes. Banjo then did something that surprised Kazooie, he planted a soft kiss on Kazooie's cheek. Kazooie eyes shot open.

"Banjo!" Kazooie said sounding irrated

"I-I'm sorry Ka-"Thats all Banjo could get out because Kazooie wrapped her wings around Banjo and put the tip of her beak on Banjo's lips. It seemed that time stood still as they stayed in their embrace. After what seemed like hours they broke apart.

"Love ya Banjo" Kazooie said

"Love ya too Kazooie" Banjo said. They knew now that they loved each other and they kept that way.
