Roxas sighed as he finished the last part of his mission. His coat, boots, and practically his whole body was covered in sweat and mud, just what he hated. Without any other thought, he returned to the dark corridor, heading straight back to the Castle That Never Was. Roxas arrived and immediately went to his bathroom, kicking off his mud-caked boots.
He glanced in the mirror and saw that his face was streaked with the same green-brown mud that covered his boots. The blonde took off his gloves and tossed them on the floor and moved over to the shower, turning it on as hot as it would go without scalding his skin.
As the room warmed, he peeled out of his soiled coat and jeans, tossing them over near his boots and gloves. Thankfully, his underwear hadn't suffered the grime, so he merely tossed them in the hamper. A few moments later, he stepped into the shower, relaxing as the hot water hit his shoulders, taking away the top layer of mud.
He took to instantly scrubbing his body and face, giving a disgusted groan when he glanced down to where all the muddy soap water pooled before being drained. Disgusting…
Soon though, the water ran clean, save for the soap bubbles. Happy to finally be free of most of the yuck, Roxas went on with washing his hair. When he was finished, he turned off the water, stepped out, and wrapped himself up in a Lexaeus-sized bath towel.
Ignoring the muddy mess of leather, he fixed the towel around his waist and brushed his teeth, going for the full effect of cleanliness. He ventured back to his bedroom, pulling out pajamas, though, knowing Axel, they might be taken off again a few hours later. Nonetheless, he pulled on a short pair of checkerboard shorts and a plain black T-shirt.
Now that he was clean, he could focus on other things. Like, where was Axel? He usually came running whenever he figured out Roxas was back. After fixing his hair a little, Roxas decided to look about. He ventured to the Gray Room, and didn't find him there, but he was only there if he had a mission or something to say his blonde.
Roxas headed to the TV room, finding Demyx curled up in a beanbag on the floor, deeply engrossed in a kid's movie, Xigbar half asleep in the recliner, and Axel looking bored on the couch.
The youngest walked over to the couch and laid down, resting his head on one of the pyro's thighs.
Axel smirked, "Well, aren't you cute." He said, petting Roxas' head a tad. Roxas looked up at the older, a small smile on his lips. In all actuality, the blonde probably could have fallen asleep right there; he was fresh out of the shower, resting in Axel's familiar lap.
A short while later, the pyro picked the younger up and carried him off to his bedroom, setting him on his feet after closing the door.
"You know, you've got pretty sexy legs." Axel whispered, leaning down close to the blonde's ear.
Roxas smiled a tad, "So I've been told." He said, pressing a kiss to the older's lips, wrapping his arms around the warm torso. The act was a little foreign to the duo, since they hardly ever hugged. Usually their time was spent with kisses, touches, and other sorts of contact, but they hardly ever stopped long enough for a true, warm hug.
The blonde sighed, "I'm exhausted."
Axel chuckled a tad and put his arms around Roxas' waist, "I can tell." He laughed a little more, "We'd already be to the bed by now if you weren't." He joked.
Roxas rolled his eyes, pulling away from the hug. He pushed back the plain white blanket on his bed and got comfortable close to the wall. Looking up to the red-head, he patted the space beside him, beckoning the pyro to join him. Axel happily took the offer, getting underneath the blanket and pulling his blonde close to him. Roxas snuggled close to the warmth, closing his eyes, already drifting off.
"I love you, Roxas."
