Eclipse of the Dark God
Chapter one: Destiny
The sky was blue and the birds chirped happily. The clouds were white as could be. The citizens of the world were living life happily under God's wing. God was sitting in his throne with the Gods of other religions. They were all discussing a severe topic that would affect us all.
"It's coming," God said, with a frown on his face.
"Isn't there more time?" asked Jesus.
"We all knew it was coming. Now to inform the world's inhabitants." Buda said.
"You're right. This is the time. We can't stop it. It was destined even before time began." moaned the Pharaoh.
"The Devil's power is stronger than ever. The Devil planned this and it is unstoppable." God replied.
As the gods kept talking, the world below them was running smoothly. Life was as it should be with its good times and bad times. Families were doing fine, and even homeless inhabitants were happy today.
John Schapor, a married lawyer with two kids, was planning for his next case, a severe terrorism attack against a family, performed by the father himself. He was sitting in his bedroom in his giant house in Los Angeles, California. His family was away in Florida, visiting Aunt Janis and Uncle Robert.
He was tired from organizing all night, and his body wasn't ready to move. He felt trapped on his bed from his drowsiness, and started to fall asleep.
"Must…keep…wor…king," he moaned as he felt hostage to his sleepiness.
He started dreaming, and thought of papers and judges and evil and the Devil. Then he saw a cloud with a throne and other mystical beings were surrounding it. He felt like he was walking toward the throne, then everyone turned their heads and faced him. John couldn't control his body. He heard his voice say, "Hello, imbeciles. I can see you talking about the apocalypse. How fascinating." The man in the big, golden chair began talking. "You know, life would be better for you if you had a heart."
"But I survived so long without one. If you think you need to be nice to survive, well you're wrong."
The man started talking again, "How about you just go home and laugh instead of here, Satan."
Then John woke up.
"What the? Ugh. Too many energy drinks"
He went back to sleep to wake up to a dark, grey day. He missed a call from his wife saying they were on they're way home.
The sky wasn't blue, and the birds weren't chirping.
It has begun.
