Preface
I can't believe this happened. I can't believe everything that happened. But at the same time, I am so happy it did happen. How do I even begin to explain what happened and how. Well, it all started on a rainy Thursday afternoon…
Trapped
"Bella, are you ready for the best long weekend of your life?" Alice screamed bouncing up and down. Her huge greenish brown eyes were filled with excitement. It was Thursday afternoon and we had tomorrow off.
"We are going to go shopping all weekend! This is a dream come true!" she shrieked as we walked into our last period classroom. Her eyes shone with glee as if the idea of shopping from Friday until Sunday night.
"It'll be the perfect time for shopping!" she exclaimed.
"Any time is a good time for you to go shopping," I sighed sitting at my usual seat.
Alice is my cousin on my father's side. She is the same age as me but she is ten times more hyper.
After class, I dragged Alice to the library to find a new book they had ordered. I would have asked the librarian but she wasn't there today and the substitute was too… um… dumb to find anything.
I went into the very back of the library with Alice following with an enormous pout on her face. I searched the shelves but couldn't find anything. I kept looking for what seemed like only a half hour. Sometime while I was searching, Alice sat down in a corner with a fashion magazine and began flipping through what she wanted to order.
After a little while longer, I finally found the book I wanted, Wuthering Heights. I was about to call Alice to let her know but the lights in the library shut off. The school was so silent I could here my own heart beating and my breathing seemed to get louder.
I looked over at Alice who had a panicked expression. We checked our watches; it was 5:03.
"Oh my god!" we both screamed, running for the door. We speed through the school hallway but sure enough when we reached the doors, they we closed and locked.
"We can't get out!" I cried with frustration as I tried to get the door open. "We may be locked in here for the weekend!"
Alice's face paled and here expression was pure horror.
"That means we can't go SHOPPING!" she cried burying her face in her hands. "And we are going to be murdered in the school!" she cried even louder.
"You aren't going to die! There is no one in this school besides us," I said in a comforting tome but I was cut off when a huge, massive boy ran towards us angrily cursing with a fist raised over his head.
Alice whimpered paling drastically, like I probably was now.
"You were saying!"
