Eve's character has been rattling around in my head since I first read City of Bones years ago and then watching Shadowhunters brought her back to life. If you don't like OCs or have "Mary Sue" issues with characters that are well rounded but still have problems, please don't waste your time.

When I got to Pandemonium, I had to bribe the bouncer at the door to let me in. While weaving though the drunken gyrating crowd of Downworlders, I fight to ignore the bright mix of auras and angry glares while still looking where I'm going. The scents of alcohol and pheromones burn my nose and the flashing lights irritate my eyes almost more than the massive mix of auras. I hate crowds and clubs and normally avoid them. Unfortunately, when one needs help from the High Warlock of Brooklyn his crazy Downworlder club is the first place you look for him.

I freeze the moment I feel powerful eyes fall on to my small form from the platform up ahead to the right. I look up and into large yellow-green cat eyes and in that moment strange magic I've never felt before sizzles through the air around me. The man with the cat eyes steps from the platform and starts toward me while maintaining eye contact, holding me in place. Clubbers move out of his path without being asked. He stops about a foot in front of me. His eyes slide down my light copper skin to my neck and narrow on to the Protection Rune on the right side of it, his aura became angry. "What does a baby Shadowhunter want in my club?" He asks, his eyes returning to mine.

"I need you assistance to find the werewolf Lucian Graymark, Mr. Bane." I say calmly. His face becomes harsh at this.

"And what business do you have with the wolf?" He questions irritatedly. I let the green glow fill my cobalt blue eyes and watch the surprise wash over his face and aura.

"He's my father."
