Hell had brought you to me
Your eyes fierce and dreadful
scared and frightful
your heart in denial
can you not see the truth?
Do you know nothing but pain?
There is more to life than suffering
more to me than merely a body
are you still blind, my love?

When you hold my hand
when you look into my eyes
when you kiss me as we walk
when you love me on cold nights
when you hug me close when i'm sad
when you feel my heart beat
when you lift my face up close to yours
when you hold my hand to your heart
i know you were destined for me, my love.

Sometimes you leave me wondering
other times you leave me be
but perhaps one day you will see
how much you mean to me
my heart belongs to you
i entrust my life and that of our son's to you
you do not have to carry us as a burden
you do not have to fear for our future
just cherish what it is you have, my love.
