"Blond hair. Blue eyes."
"Sakura!" Madison groaned, rolling her eyes to look at the clear blue sky, "You know boys are bad news. Especially boys like him," she indicated to the boy who had now sat at the other side of the room and was watching Sakura intently.
"But Madison!" Sakura protested shifting her gaze to her friend, "He's interested in me too!"
Madison watched the new boy. Call it intuition, but, she didn't think that the boy was right. In fact, she had an eery feeling in the pit of her stomach which made her feel very uncomfortable. She shuddered slightly.
"You can do what you like Sakura, but, like I said. You can't trust good looking lads." and at that she got up and walked away.
Sakura was left to sit alone. She tugged at her auburn pigtails and thought. Maybe Madison was right. He didn't look as handsome as she first thought. But he made her feel a special individual, watching her with so much interest. But it was almost un-nerving the way her wouldn't take his eyes off her. He made her feel cold. Those eyes of his.. They were so pale. Icy. Cold. She didn't know what to do. There was Madison's opinion on this boy and her own.
Something swept past her. It was so quick, she was unsure weather it had actually happened.. It was freezing cold, but smooth. Like new silk.. Only 100 times colder. She shivered as she stood up, laughing at herself, thinking it was just her imagination. She brushed down her skirt and turned around.
Madison was just at the other side of the field when she heard a blood curdling scream. No one turned or looked puzzled.. Only her. She dashed back to where she'd left Sakura, praying to herself that Sakura hadn't been hurt.
When she eventually got to the other end of the field she saw Sakura talking to the boy. Madison sighed and walked up to Sakura and covered her eyes.
"Guess who!" Madison laughed as Sakura turned around. The only problem was. This wasn't Sakura. If it was then why had her eyes no color? Madison blinked, "Umm. Sakura. You OK?" she asked sheepishly, stepping back.
"Oh yes Madison I'm fine," she said advancing on Madison slowly, backing her into a wall, "The only thing is. Sakura's gone."
"What do you mean-" Madison didn't have time to continue as she backed into a wall, the persons breath was stale. Their hair was messy. The bobbles were ropes. Or that's what Madison thought. The things holding the person's hair up was a lot worse.
"I mean.." the person started, "Sakura's dead."
"NO!" Madison screamed and kicked out at the thing which jumped back swiftly.
"There, there Madison... She's gone to a better place. I'm sure of it."
Madison yelled for help. She hurriedly looked around for someone to call. Everything had frozen. Not one person stirred except for the boy who was smiling widely.
"Yes Madison.." he chuckled, also advancing on her, "She's gone to a better place."
The THING reached out with it's long spindly fingers and grabbed Madison's shoulders. Madison gasped at the cold that over came her and suddenly went limp. Darkness. ***
